Car Launches In India Delayed By Coronavirus
Due to this lockdown carmakers have to postpone planned car launches in India which were likely to go on sale between March and May 2020. Here is a list of upcoming car launches in India that have been postponed due to this situation.

New Honda City
The 2020 Honda City was one of the most awaited sedans for the Indian market. The launch was expected to take place in April and plans to unveil this beauty on March 16 along with a media drive. Unfortunately, the event was canceled and the new launch date had not announced yet.
New Honda City will feature BS6
compliant with 1.5-liter petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engine and the price is
likely to start from around Rs 10lakh(ex-showroom).

Skoda Rapid 1.0
Skoda had confirmed their Skoda
Rapid 1.0 model to go on sale in April. The car comes with a BS6 1.0 TSI petrol engine along with a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox and
a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Due to the ongoing shutdown, the launch date has been delayed by
the Skoda team.

2020 Hyundai Tucson Facelift
The Hyundai Tucson facelift was
scheduled to be launched in India by March 2020. But due to the current
situation, Hyundai is yet to announce a new launch date for the new Tucson in
the Indian market.

Skoda Karoq
Skoda Karoq was showcased at
the 2020 Auto Expo and had even started
accepting booking for the Karoq SUV in March and the launch was to
take place in April. Skoda has not announced any changes regarding the Karoq
launch.
The Skoda Karoq will come with a 15-liter turbo engine and 7-speed
DSG which includes a virtual cockpit, panoramic sunroof and 9airbags. Expected
price Rs19-20 lakh(ex-shroom).

Tata HBX
The much anticipated micro SUV
the Tata HBX. which was one of the most talked about vehicles at the 2020 Auto
Expo. HBX was initially scheduled to go on sale in April.
It is the second Tata product
based on the ALFA architecture after the Altroz with same 1.2-liter petrol
engine and is expected to come with a manual transmission
and AMT options.
Citron C5 Aircross
Citron, the French
carmaker was very excited to enter the Indian market with its first model,
the C5 Aircross. The coronavirus situation in the country has confirmed a delay
in their arrival.
The German luxury carmaker
Mercedes Benz was scheduled to introduce the all-electric EQC SUV in India and
intended to launch in April but the current corona situation postpone the
launch in India.
The Mercedes Benz EQC is powered with 408bhp and 700Nm from 400
packs an 80kwh lithium-ion battery and expected to cost upwards of Rs 1.0crore
(ex-shroom).

Renault Duster 1.3
Renault Duster is coming back
with a new 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 155bhp and 250Nm of
torque and a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT will be provided. The new
Duster's launch was expected to take place in April and this was postponed but
Renault has not revealed the new launch date.

Mahindra XUV300 Sportz
Mahindra XUV300 Sportz comes
with a brand new 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine that has 130bhp power and
230Nm of torque. Mahindra XUV300 Sportz's power and torque figures are higher
than the any other petrol sub-4m SUV currently on sale.

Audi e-Tron
Audi had planned to bring their
electric beauty, the all-electric SUV to the Indian market this year. However,
keeping the current situation in mind Audi has to hold the India launch of the
e-Tron.
